While this summer may have felt relatively quiet to the outside world, behind the scenes at Harris Mountain Investigations, the work never really stops.

Still Committed to the Mission

As always, we’ve continued volunteering our time and resources with Private Investigations for the Missing (PIFTM)—a partnership that remains a major focus of our efforts.

In May, we organized and participated in a call-in tip campaign related to one of their cases. This was followed by an online fundraiser, during which we announced a new tip in the Brianna Maitland case.

Helping Families Find Resolution

• Reunited: We were able to locate the son of a client. He had left voluntarily, but the family needed answers. We were proud to help bring them peace of mind.

• Out-of-State Fatality Case: HMI investigated an out-of-state multi-fatality motor vehicle accident and provided guidance on a related probate issue.

• Financial Fraud Investigation: We conducted an investigation into a potential financial fraud scheme, gathering information and formally referring the case to the appropriate police agency for follow-up.

• Cold Case Homicide Consultation: We consulted on an apparent homicide dating back roughly 30 years in Texas, at the request of the victims son.

Cold Cases & Ground Work

• Missing Person Located: One individual who had been missing was successfully located by HMI through our work with the nonprofit.

• K-9 Search Coordination: We coordinated logistics to fly in a human remains K-9 team from Georgia to New England for a targeted search on a cold case.

• Ground Penetrating Radar: We also arranged for GPR scanning on the same site, bringing technology and tenacity together to push for answers.

• New Texas Cases: HMI is currently consulting on two separate Texas-based cold cases for PIFTM. Both are active and ongoing, and we remain committed to uncovering the truth.

New Website, Same Mission

If you haven’t seen it yet, PIFTM recently transitioned to a new website and HMI helped with the process. The updated site offers clearer access to case information, resources, and ways to get involved.
