December  2024
HMI located relatives information for a woman who, along with her siblings, was taken from their mother many years ago.

L Barry participated in two podcasts with  Surviving the Survivors, along with a former FBI Agent and the  former head of the LAPD detective bureau concerning the missing person case  of  Hannah Kobayashi
L Barry was contacted by a client to assist in locating an individual who owed him a considerable amount of money. Individual was located in Germany and is making restitution.
November 2024
The investigation into the unsolved homicide was finally completed and report ws sent to the client.
HMI located an individual who owed a considerable sum of money to the client. Subject was located in Germany.
October 2024
HMI continued consulting on a 1957 unsolved Homicide in Washington State, of an Native American Woman.

September 2024
Busy month with the media! L Barry gave an interview to Spectrum News 1 out of Worcester MA regarding BRITTANY TEE, a Private Investigations for the Missing case.
L Barry was also featured in an articla in the Yakima Herald concerning the case of the 1957 unsolved Hoomicide.
That was followed by a live interview with NewsNation on the Samantha Tapp case.  He also gave a talk to the Kentucky Private Inv. Association as part of their continuing ed training.
L Barry spoke to a group of Kentucky Private Investigators as part of their continuing education.
August 2024
L Barry taped a podcast with Crawlspace media updating Private Investigations for the Missing for September viewing     ( link to follow)

 L. Barry Coordinated and attended the dedication of a new monument for  Patricia Tucker, aka "GRANBY GIRL" The victim of a homicide date back tot he late 70's, recently identified. .  The "event" was attended by the  family members, The District Attorney, investigators that worked on the case, PIFTM Board members, a representative from OTHRAM labs,  and media representatives.

HMI was hired to locate a young lady who had voluntarily ceased contact with the client ( her mother). Located the girl and assured her mother that she was safe.

L Barry gave an interview with FOX5 DC concerning a missing persons case in Virginia and also was interviewed by the Yakima Herald concerning the 1957 homicide of a native American female, in which HMI is acting as a case consultant.
July 2024
L Barry located a pair of twins for the non-profit Private Investigations for the Missing.

HMI  is consulting on an unsolved homicide in Washington State from 1957 . Victim was an indigenous  female.

L Barry taped a podcast with NAVIGATING ADVOCACY on the Dean Webster unsolved homicide in Vermont in 2001

HMI was hired to do a background on an individual involved in high end business dealings.
 
June 2024 

A case investigated by HMI, specifically the disappearance of JEFFREY COONRADT, has been taken over by the US Army cold case squad. a $10,000  reward has been offered by them. In October 2024. Army CID cold case unit  briefed the VIDOC society on the case.

HMI   assisted a local Veterans Group into researching the information on 10 Army fliers who perished in a plane crash nearby on May 27, 1944.

 MAY 2024

HMI consulted on a Vermont sudden death investigation for a family member

April  2024
L Barry  gave an interview to KEZI channel 9 out of Eugene Oregon on a missing persons case that HMI consulted on.

March 2024
  The FBI announced a $40,000 reward leading to locating 
BRIANNA MAITLAND missing from Montgomery VT since 2004.

HMI assisted in locating  a young lady who had been adopted as an infant. Girl was successfully located and re-united with her family.

January/February 2024

  LBarry met with the Cold Case Squad of the New Hampshire State Police concerning  the MAURA MURRAY case. The Murray family had asked for assistance from PIFTM and we have been following leads for almost two years. February 9 marked the 20th anniversary of her disappearance in Woodsville NH.  

Barry also gave an interview to Newsweek magazine concerning missing persons cases, and The SUN, on the Maura Murray case, specifically.

December 2023 

The issue in ROLLING STONE about Sophia Mckenna was published today. Great job by journalist Caitlyn Flynn. HMI conducted an investigation on the case for Michelle, Sophia's mother. Link to article


October/November  2023
Busy two months screening cases for the non-profit PIFTM as well as doing case consulting. Fortunately, HMI was able to locate 5 persons through data base searches for the non-profit. In addition, in a rather unusual case, We were able to locate and re-unite an emotional support Schnauzer with it's owner!

September: 2023 
 Upon invitation, L. Barry addressed (via ZOOM)  a European Organization LOST2, which  consists of members from Portugal, Spain, Italy, Belgium and Greece. They were particularly interested in the qualities needed by an investigator to be successful in missing persons cases. They receive partial funding from the European Union.

 Greg Overacker, a member of HMILLC, has published a book concerning the investigation into the disappearance of BRIANNA MAITLAND. Greg has been investigating the case pro bono since 2006 and was joined by L Barry in 2017.
The book  THE HUNT FOR BRIANNA MAITLAND is now  available  via mail order.

August 2023
 In a rather unusual case,  HMI assisted our local Historical society in locating the heir of a WWII soldier, former POW, to return to the family a bible given to the soldier by the base chaplain. It took some searching bur a great nephew of the deceased was located and the bible will be returned to the family.

Happy Fourth of July!
On behalf the non profit PRIVATE INVESTIGATIONS for The MISSING, L. Barry located a woman who had been missing since 1990. On July 4th 2023, her family was re-united with her.

June 2023 
HMI LLC was hired to consult on a missing person (probable homicide) case dating back to 1987.

April 2023 
HMI INV LLC was pleased to have been able to quickly  locate a young man missing from Illinois and determine that it was a voluntary disappearance

"Granby Girl" identified after 44 years.   Due to DNA analysis and genomic researching by Othram Labs, as well as Investigation by the Granby MA Police and members of the Northwest District Attorney's office State Police Investigators, a 1978  unknown homicide victim was Identified as PATRICIA ANN TUCKER. HMI LLC assisted local authorities in researching the victim and locating potential case witnesses. L Barry appeared on the Crawlspace Podcast relating to the case
